Shelly and Spencer’s wedding day at the Portland Oregon LDS Temple was filled with joy, quiet moments, and the kind of light photographers dream about. As a wedding photographer in Portland, Oregon, it’s always an honor to document temple weddings, and this day was especially meaningful because of how effortlessly Shelly and Spencer’s love showed in every moment.

From the peaceful temple grounds to the laughter shared with family and friends, their wedding day was the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple.

One of my favorite parts of temple weddings is spending time creating portraits around the grounds. The Portland Oregon Temple has so many beautiful locations for photos — tree-lined walkways, colorful flower beds, and stunning views of the temple itself.

Shelly looked incredible in her dress, and Spencer couldn’t stop smiling every time he looked at her. Their chemistry made photographing them effortless.

We wandered through the gardens, stopping in a few of the most scenic spots around the temple. The soft Pacific Northwest light and the peaceful surroundings created the perfect atmosphere for romantic wedding portraits.

Temple weddings are always filled with meaningful moments between families. Shelly and Spencer’s loved ones traveled from near and far to celebrate with them, and you could feel how much support surrounded them.

We captured family portraits on the temple steps, bridal party photos, and plenty of candid moments of laughter in between. Those unscripted interactions often become the most treasured memories from the day.
